ISRO Exam Prep Tips to Clear Scientist Engineer Exam

AS ISRO exam is a demanding exam ( it has nearly the same syllabus as GATE, time is very limited and calculators are not allowed), it requires sharp focus and a thorough preparation. The candidates are advised to practice solving the questions in the same time frame as that the paper will be held so as to help candidate build up a routine to concentrate in the required time frame. 
How to build concentration
As soon as candidate get their admit card, they should note the time period in which the exam is to be held. Most exams are held during afternoon session and candidate are in the habit of sleeping or taking breaks for lunch during afternoons. That time period (same as the exam) should be utilized for practicing previous papers as that will help the candidate simulate a feeling of giving the exam.  Try to sit on a table and chair in a room without any disturbance. Keep a watch to help concentrate on  speed.

After giving the test,  a short break can be allowed and then checking the test with the solutions should be done. Candidate can check the test himself or can have someone else check the answers for him/her. Then a review of the topics which were weak can be undertaken and candidate can prepare them thoroughly before taking the next test.  This method will be surely helpful to candidates to clear the exam.
As pointed out, previous question papers are very helpful to candidates to understand which topic is important and requires more stress. Also without calculators many candidates find themselves at a disadvantage as they are in a habit of using calculators.
